On September 3, 2018 in Dushanbe, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Chairman of the Tajikistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship League Keiji Furuya at the Government house.
The discussion focused on ways of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and a potential contribution of the Parliamentary Friendship League to the development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan.
President of the country Emomali Rahmon emphasized the contribution of the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue to expand the range of cooperation in the interest of peoples of the member states.
The two sides noted with satisfaction the positive progress achieved in socio-economic areas, the implementation of previously reached agreements and joint projects.
The two sides reaffirmed their mutual resolve to further promote inter-parliamentary ties.
The sides also shared their views on issues of mutual interest.
