On October 24, 2016, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan in Japan Dr. Hamrokhon Zarifi had meeting with the Chairman of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Mr. Hiroyuki Ishige. The meeting was also attended by representatives of industrial and energy, banking sectors of the economy of Tajikistan, and heads of branch offices of JETRO.
In the course of the meeting parties had productive exchange of views on the state and prospects of Tajik-Japanese cooperation, in particular, the sides discussed in detail the ways of implementing the various relevant and practical issues on the bilateral agenda.
JETRO representatives briefed about the main directions of the organization's activities abroad and in the Central Asian region, and proposed to establish an information exchange between business circles of the two countries.
At the end of the meeting the sides expressed mutual willingness to promote further development of bilateral ties in the fields of economy, trade, industry and technology, in particular to carry out joint activities with the participation of representatives of various sectors of the economies of two countries.
